the anthro form is the "main" form and the most seen one.

the anthro and the feral form both don't cost energy to walk around in.
this is why some individuals walk around more in the feral forms. (if they feel more comfortable that way)

the individual itself chooses how to walk around.
also for for example running can be done in the feral form since they will be faster that way.

the battle form however does take energy to walk around in. 
as the individual gets older and more experienced they will be able to take on that form for a longer time/more often.
